The Stuff That Matters. Textiles collected by Seth Siegelaub

Today I went to see The Stuff That Matters at Raven Row Art Centre. It's an incredible exhibition of textiles, really stunning, got my head whirring. There are all sorts of pieces that would normally be behind glass or in a cabinet and they're all just hanging up for you to see - like ethereal Turkish sashes from the 19th century carefully hung over rails as if to dry. And a room of hats all displayed on poles at head height.
You really should go if you're in the area.
