This week has been a good one for toot, there's another posts worth soon.
These antlers are nicely bleached and chalky - I've sold them already to a lady who's doing up a pub, they'll fit in well in a pub I guess but I had attributed them a little more high-brow sculptureish qualities in my head.
Why is old stationery so beautiful and new stuff so awful looking? I needed a hole punch in a hurry the other day and ended up with a hunch-back purple plastic thing that I make sure to keep in a draw. I'm not sure about the inverted commas around "easy" on this little chap though.
Nice sputnik hanger.
I have a few of these hairclips, the cut-outs for the teeth are decorative as well as functional, nice.
An old school clock in bakelite, fully working and a decent size - I'm a little tempted to keep it.
And this ingenious lamp: it's the head of an anglepoise on a handmade base - makes me think that lamps can't be all that hard to make maybe we should all have a go.
I've been invited to work on yet another market soon - selling cheese at Borough. So that should be fun, I'm only filling in occasionally but I can't wait. Gosh I love a market, any market, and at this one reckon I'll go home with my pockets lined with cheese, pate and other such rich and creamy treats.
I hope you have a rich and creamy weekend full of joy.
Hmm - I'm not sure how I feel about Cheesy Pockets.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like something Findus would have manufactured in 1975.
Very true Mr Josh. I'd happily scoff a packet of Cheesy Pockets, then I'd guzzle a Panda Pop.
